Product Type: Hand-Dyed Yarns & Fancy Yarns

Product Description: Hand-dyed yarns made from materials such as wool, alpaca, silk, cotton and similar fibres, as well as speciality yarns that may include decorative elements such as sequins or other embellishments. They are generally composed of natural, blended or synthetic fibres and may contain small amounts of plastic or metallic decorative components. The intended use is for knitting, crocheting, weaving and other textile crafts carried out in domestic or professional creative contexts.

Age Group: Suitable for use by adults and supervised older children; not intended as a toy.

Identified Risks:

  • Allergic reactions to natural fibres listed on label
  • Choking hazard if small parts are accessible to young children

Measures Taken to Mitigate Risks:

  • Use of non-toxic, skin-safe dyes
  • Clear labelling of fibre content to inform consumers of potential allergens
  • Advising that products are not toys and should be kept out of reach of small children.
