Cloudy Nora Shawl Pattern by Jane Murison

In Jane's words; "This shawl came about to make the most of a textured or fancy-pants yarn, by setting it against a finer background. I wanted a chilled-out pattern that you can memorise and customise, depending on how the mood and the yarn takes you. The play of texture creates a sheer backdrop to thick lines and clouds, like vapour trails and cumulus on a clear sky."

My initial sample uses one 100g skein of boucle yarn and one 50g skein of kidsilk lace, but it will work well with other weights and types of yarn. Just make sure one skein is thicker than the other, and that you have at least 200m/220yds of the each yarn.
