4 ply Merino - High Twist

100% Merino makes this yarn soft and fine and which drapes beautifully. The increased twist of the plies used to create this yarn helps to prevent abrasion and piling thus making it suitable for knitting socks. I would not recommend as a tough wearing sock and but a gentle wearing and warm sock .

The softness and fineness of the merino gives a gentle lustre to the yarn taking dye beautifully and making colours pop.

Great for shawls, lightweight tops, scarves, and delicious combined with mohair.
