Manhole Socks Pattern by Jane Murison
Manhole Socks Pattern by Jane Murison
A top down sock pattern with textured toes and heels. This clever design has stitches which are reminiscent of non-slip metal treads and the toes and heels take their texture from man hole covers.
Main colour: 1 x 100g /400m sock yarn, Bluefaced Leicester is a great sturdy strong base.
Knitting needle required; recommended 2.25mm. Choose magic loop, DPNs or Addi Sockwunder to suit your preferred method of make.
Notions required: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn (optional)
Techniques: Slipped stitch cables, afterthought heel.
Patterns make a great gift combined with yarn, stitch markers, needles and project bag.
