The 100 Days of January is Nearly Over!
And so 100 days of January is coming to an end!  Yes, we are nearly through the longest month of the year. We are coming out the other side, and the snow should be thawing on my side of the hill very soon. Phew!
If you follow me on social media, you will have most likely seen the super quick chunky knit hat that I knit in anticipation for the snow coming mid week, and I am so relieved I did!  100% merino chunky yarn makes for a quick and sumptuously warm knit. I used a free pattern on Ravelry called the A-Dock Beanie by Kali Berg. I'll drop the link into resources at the bottom of this email.

Quick, easy and just one skein, what a great pattern for instant gratification. I do think when the weather is poor, it's dark and it's the month of 100 days we shouldn't punish ourselves with complexity and over burdening projects. Be kind to yourself and knit quick!
I have a limited number of chunky skeins left now on my website, as I am moving into dyeing for events and upcoming shows. Here's a little of what will keep you warm and toasty until Spring.
Spring is going to be super busy for me and I will be attending some great yarn shows. This is an opportunity to meet yarn vendors, take part in classes and buy yarn accessories and essential yarn kit - all under one roof!  I have added links below for each show. Can you come and say hi?

I have been working hard on my colour plan for Spring / Summer and am excited to start dyeing in readiness next week.
However, before all of these events I will be at my lovely local markets, my next being Didsbury on Sunday 29th January, 11am - 4pm!
Your Makes!

It was great to be back at Knit Group last Saturday in Manchester and see my yarn friends. A knit group is such a special thing, a meeting of minds and busy hands. I borrowed a stunning pair of socks my friend Julie made in my yarn (BFL Sacre Coeur) and admired the gorgeous fingerless gloves my friend Alison had made using my 4ply merino high twist combined with mohair - both so dreamy.
I had to try these stunning socks on just the see how comfy they are, you know...

I've so much more to tell you but I am going to save some exciting bits for you until February. I have special treats in store for you that month. We like February - it consists of pancakes, Nutella, the shortest month, and as we're nearing Spring we get tsnowdrops and daylight. Bliss!

So, without further ado, here's the promised voucher code for 10% off Mamie and Florrie online for you to enjoy.  It expires Friday 27th January.

Use code 100days at the checkout.

If you would like to collect yarn at Didsbury just drop me a message. Likewise I can provide click and collect in the Peak District, which is free.

Finally, here's my January playlist, and did you know there are little soupcons of Mamie and Florrie now on Tik Tok?  Little snippets of yarnie life.
