Welcome to August's Travel Club!
In August we are travelling to the fabulous Skiathos in the Greek Islands, where to sky is the deepest blue and the waters are aqua, turquoise and cooling - the perfect location to start our Mamma Mia journey!
I wanted to revisit the Greek Islands having holidayed here this summer and share blue yarn so reminiscent of the sky and seas of the Greek Islands and Mamma Mia is the ultimate film featuring the colours of Greece.
It's a feel good film, the Abba soundtrack we all love and remember the words too and visually we all wish we were on a little islands living Donna's best life!
Mamma Mia was such a box office hit when it was released in 2008 and of course sequals followed. I think, like Shirley Valentine, it has the feel of escapism we often crave when the weather changes and life isn't really quite so sunny.
I thought it may be a good colourway for an Autumn Musselburgh Hat by Ysolda Teague
or perhaps a Hipster Hat by Petite Knits if you have the DK yarn, just to remember "Our Last Summer"
