Are you taking part in the West Knits Sock Along?

Stephen West has launched his new Knit Along which is a Sock Along!  This is a great summer project and perfect for taking on holiday.

Launched yesterday, the project has been named Contrast Blast Surprise Sock Along and, in true West Knits style, it will be amazing with lots of twists and turns along the way - it will not result in a vanilla sock!

Stephen will talk you through all the skills you need, and I look at this as the perfect opportunity to learn something new. You always do with a West Knit!

Choosing your yarn colours

You need two 100g skeins of fingering weight sock yarn in contrasting colours, to make the stitch definition really pop.

I recommend choosing from my Soft Merino Sock or Adventure Bluefaced Leicester wool sock bases, for the Sock Along.  

I have a rainbow of colour options. Here are just a few for you to match with a contrasting skein.

Knitting Needles and Notions

Everyone has their preferred knitting needles and for me it is the Addi Sockwonder needles. You also need three stitch markers, a cable needle and a tapestry needle.

Sock Along Key Dates

You can sign up to the sock along now and you will receive an introduction to what to expect in the coming weeks. This gives you time to select your yarn and get everything together to join in on the fun.

Clue #1 launches on Thursday 6th July and weekly thereafter.  After four weeks you will have an amazing pair of socks!
