Welcome the Travel Club for April 2026!
We are meeting at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Ventura, California. This is just one of the locations used for the film Little Miss Sunshine.
I remember watching this film when it was released and finding it sad, funny, sweet and filled with hope. You can't help grow to love each of the family members, laugh and dispair all of their little foibles, but of course, it's hard not to love, Olive, our Little Miss Sunshine. There is something so relatable about Olive; her hope, positivity and her awkwardness. She is our heroine.

And so this month's yarn celebrates all the positivity that Olive shares with us on screen; it's bright, yellow with flicks of pink and red representing Olive with hints of green and blue just like the flashes of landscape as the scenery changes on their journey.

I think it is also good to have a little yellow and brightness in our stash, some cheerful yarn to lift our moods and maybe manifest a little more Olive!

I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I enjoyed dyeing it - and of course listening to the soundtrack while I dyed.
Here is the link to your playlist;

If you are looking for pattern ideas here's a few suggestions;
The Calendar Scarf by Suraya Hossain - requires 4ply or singles, mohair and sparkles. I would use pink Paillettes to blend nicely with the pink tones in your yarn.
Using sock / singles I would use this colourway with a semi solid fluff or 4ply such as Vinoy Park Fluff, Vinoy Park sock or Yego Scooters Fluff or Yego Scooters Sock to knit the new baby Simon Shawl by Twinset and Purl
Thank you as always for trusting me to dye for you, happy knitting!
Amy
